Video is a wonderfully rich and powerful form of expression. Great video connects us to people, places, organizations, and ideas, communicating a wide range of emotions in the process. And with the growing freedom and mobility of the web, video is a more central part of our lives than ever before.
Creating great video is, however, difficult and expensive (we're not talking about video captures of your cat with your phone here). In fact, these expenses and difficulties are preventing a huge number of individuals and organizations from creating video to express, share, and engage others in meaningful ways.
We want to change that by making it possible for more people to produce compelling video for the web. Specifically, we want to make it easier for creative individuals to create stunning, professional-quality video. To accomplish this we are creating the first animation software built specifically for motion-typography-based video production.
Motion typography, or kinetic typography, is the animation of text in interesting ways for greater impact and expressiveness than the text alone. If you’re familiar with the adage, it’s all in the delivery , you can understand how important presentation can be in conveying a message. And that’s where Letters in Motion comes in. We’re not creating a new art form, motion typography is already widely used in video production. Instead, we’re pushing the boundaries of this art form, opening it up to new and exciting possibilities so that creative people can realize more ambitious creative visions.
